Jitterbugs and Crazy Crawlers have always been my favourites. Not fussy about the colour. My alltime best performer is a Crazy Crawler in the yellow hornet colour.
It's easy to overshoot in the dark with Crazy Crawlers because they cast so easily, and they don't always kick into gear as reliably as the Jitterbugs, but I just love the sound they make, as do the Bass, so for me it's the Crazy Crawler by a nose, and in saying that, I always carry Jitterbugs.

Don't ask me, I had a soft shell and a Nutterjuck tied on last night (new moon) and got bugger all!

I know the south coast boys love a fizzer after dark, it's a style of lure that seems to be overlooked a lot when it comes to night fishing these days so might be a good bet on Bass that have seen a lot of Jitterbugs ect.

But personally if your mate is slaying them on Basscada's, then I know exactly what I would be buying :D

It wasnt a basscada tho but same bib design but bigger and bigger lure body and the tail of the lure curled down unlike the basscada so the back trebble hung lower than the front

make sure you change the hardware on the bats so you don't lose any fish. otherwise they are good to go for $4.50 8-)
